Somatic Sessions

What does a somatic session look & feel like?

In a somatic session, we start with a check-in about what you’re currently moving through. Then, we’ll both pick a place to start. After some grounding techniques like self-touch or gentle movement to bring you into your body, you’ll invite the scene of the starting point to your mind’s eye. With this awareness, we’ll bring your attention towards your body & explore the sensations, emotions, feelings and thoughts that are present. We will then use visualisation or movement to release some of the stored stress or tension associated with the scene from your body, leaving you feeling lighter. We work layer by layer, at a pace that is guided by your body. If you have seen intense shaking or release on Instagram - it’s not like that! I use a combination of Somatic Stress Release, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga & Parts Work to guide the gentle release of stored stress, tension & trauma from your body. Sessions can be booked weekly, fortnightly or monthly or drop-in as needed. Like all therapy, the longer & more consistent you attend, the more transformative your results.

$170 AUD. Invoice sent after the session with 7 days to pay.

TCTSY is an empirically validated, clinical intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). TCTSY works as an effective standalone or adjunctive treatment to traditional talk therapy.

In TCTSY, the focus is on the internal experience of the form, rather than the outer “look” or “getting it right”.
